Hello all -

I've been with a chronic condition for 2.5-3 years now, and have made posts in the past. My main symptoms consist of brain fog, headache, post-nasal drip and cough.

Before this "condition" ever set it I had always been a victim of hay fever in the spring-summer seasons, but this feels altogether different. My hay fever involved more congestion, runny nose, irritated eye type symptoms, as opposed to the ones I listed above. While I do currently get a bit congested on occasion I can normally breathe pretty easily.

My question is this. Does the type of symptoms that I suffer say anything about the possible origin of my allergies? I'm still not even completely confident that allergies are the root of my problem, but clear CT scans coupled with very positive allergy tests have pointed in that direction. Still, no treatment has been effective so far.

Thanks for any feedback!

If you've had allergy testing, that should tell you what the allergens are. And you don't say what treatments you've had. So it's a little difficult to answer without that information.

Sorry for the lack of info. I wanted to gear my question more towarRAB what information I could derive (if any) from just the symptoms. Otherwise stated, do different allergens bring about different symptoms?

To answer your questions though, I've been taking Allegra & Flonaise as well as various supplements for many months. I've also been on a couple short rounRAB of prednisone, and have been doing allergy shots for a 4-6 months. The only drug that has shown me any relief was the prednisone, and even that wasn't the dramatic recovery that my allergist said he would expect if my condition was solely allergies. That said, clear CT scans and lack of evidence for any other condition leave allergies as my main theory for now.

Thanks!
