TX vs LifeDrive

I'm thinking of getting a new Palm. My old T2 is dying. Loved it but must move on.
I'm looking to use the unit lots more than I have in the past -- mobile files, music files, photos, etc. Potentially using up lots of memory, though of course the exact number of mega- or gigabytes is beyond my meager ability to calculate.
I'm thinking of the TX, but reading the threads on adding a card and the limitations beyond 2 GB makes me think maybe I should just get the 4 GB LifeDrive and have done with it, for smoother operation. Any opinions? Experience that would make you nudge me one way or the other?
Thanks!

The LifeDrive may have lots of memory. However, it runs slower than the TX because the OS runs from a microdrive rather than flash memory.

I also use the TX with a Transcend 4GB card and it works very well. I think most will say that the TX is a far better value and just as much storage area with a 4GB card.

I had the choice of going for the Lifedrive when it first came out in May 2005. But I held myself off until the TX came out several months later.

The main reason I chose TX over the Lifedrive was the thinner size of the TX, as well as the all-solid state memory on the TX compared to the mechanical, spinning disk memory of the Lifedrive.

I now have 2 TXs. One was bought in October 2005. The other bought recently, at the end of March 2007.

Both are working fine.

Go for the TX.
