TX turns off, won't turn on without reset

I have a puzzling problem with my T|X. It seems that when it shuts itself off, or if I turn it off, I cannot turn it back on-- only the reset button works.

It's not a faultly power button because it works to shut it down. I even remapped one of the front buttons for power and no luck. The reminders don't help much if the unit can't wake itself up... any ideas?

Sometimes faulty software will do this. I had it happen to me with my T|3. I was able to fix by doing a hard reset and installing software one by one.
 
Totally by mistake I think I have found the offending software. I installed an older version of Avantgo which replaced "M-Business" (which is the same app with a different name) and it seems to be happy now. M-Business=bad.

I'm new with the Palm architecture, and sold my PPC to switch over b/c the Palm syncs quite nicely with Linux. So far I'm really liking it.

Sync by USB won't work for me but wifi does with JPilot. I havent yet connected it to a windows box. Dont need to. AvantGo has to go directly to the net to update though...
