TX Headphone Jack Not Snug

Does anyone else find that the T|X's headphone jack isn't as snug as the jacks on other portable audio equipment you have? Mine seems slightly loose. If I plug the headphones in and hold the T|X upright in the air while gripping the headphone stem (or whatever you call that shaft between the metal plug and the headphone cord), the fit is snug enough that the T|X can be suspended in the air. But a couple of fairly slight jiggle of my wrist is enough to dislodge the headphones from the T|X.

I thought it might be because of the particular headphones I have, but when I plug those same phones into my PC's headphone jack, they fit much more snugly -- when I push them in that last 1/8" inch, they seem to snap-lock in -- I don't get that same snapped-in feeling with the jack on the T|X.

Is that just the way the headphone jack is designed on the T|X? Or should I think about exchanging my unit (though I'm not crazy about the idea of shlepping back to Office Depot and setting up a new unit...)

I have similar issues. Also, I have had to trim the plastic coating from around a couple of cables to be sure the male end seats completly in the outlet. Design could have been better if Palm set the outlet to be either more flush or would have enlarged the recessed arc around the outlet itself by a millimeter or so.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it's strange to me that they didn't set the outlet flush against the surface of the unit. It makes me wonder how well you can push the headphones in if you're using one of those Palm protective covers that has cutouts for the headphones. The cutouts must be pretty large to accommodate those L-shaped headphone plugs that seem common these days...
