TX cannot see SD cards

I have a brand new TX. When I insert my SD cards - all of which I can read on my Tungsten E - it says no card inserted. It clicks in place - but no beep. As well, it will turn on the palm if it is in off position. Is it possible there is some type of conflict or is this device defective?

If other Palm devices can read the card, but the TX can't, then it sounds like your TX has a defective SD card slot.

Hi jeffer,

In very unusual cases, sometimes a non-compatible SD card will damage the TX?s expansion reader. I?m not sure if this is the case with your device but you can check by going through the troubleshooting steps here: http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/...upportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,Case=obj(26565). Try buying a new card. I had a Tungsten E and used a MMC card, when I got my TX the card would read but I couldn't save anything from the TX to the card. I bought a new SD card and all is fine. I got a 128 MB SD card at Wal-Mart for around $18, and it works fine. I thought the TX card slot was dead or something. Try buying a new card before you think about calling Palm for a repair. I have bad experiences with Palm repair service.
