Former speaker of the house Newt Gingrich said "I am for individuals, (exactly like auto insurance) being required to have health insurance" but former speaker of the house Newt Gingrich said "I'm against a federal mandate on anyone because it is fundamentally wrong, and I believe in constitutional"

Two very different opinions. So which one appeals to you?

Newt ought to debate himself.

Newt on Libya: "We don't need to have the United Nations. All we have to say is that we think that slaughtering your own citizens is unacceptable and that we're intervening."

Newt (after Obama took action): " I would not have intervened. I think there were a lot of other ways to affect Gaddafi. I think there are a lot of other allies in the region we could have worked with. I would not have used American and European forces. "

Neither... let's disband America's Health Insurance Industrial Complex, because it doesn't play any important role in actual healthcare, except to make a buck off of someone's illness. That's fundamentally wrong. Pay the doctors, not the CEO of Highmark or something.

He sounds like a politician with Character.. one who won't desert you in your darkest hour.. one who stands up for what he believes in and doesn't just blow whichever way the wind blows like a limp flag.. a true conservative ICON!

I am still trying to figure out how the Republican Party would allow themselves to be represented by these guys. Newt Gingrich!????? Donald Trump???? Holy Moly!

Newt is farr too green for me. I ruled him out when I seen him and Queen Pelosi (at the time) sitting on the same couch smiling talking about global warming... So I am glad you're all catching up with me

It is the State, rather than the Federal government, that mandates auto insurance buying.

He is -- correctly -- against the Federal mandate. Newt's opinions are perfectly consistent.
