Twilight Series: Is Mike ever going to get a chance or will everyone leave him behind?

Bella didn't even give him a real chance and Jessica dumped him (or was it the other way around?). Will he always be single and forever doomed to live the Forks life?
AKA growing up in Forks and having kids that also grow up and live life in Forks?
