TV station "Russia Today" (and website) - biased?

I don't know much (anything!) about the TV station Russia Today, or the affiliated website. Can anyone give me a sense of whether that station's reporting of American gov't-related stories is usually based on legitimate reporting, or if there is some sort of "bias" involved?

I take virtually everything I hear on any news station with a grain of salt...I'm just curious if I need a bigger grain for this channel, or if it's a well-respected source of international news.

Russia Today is not a fair source. I was wondering the same thing myself when I watched Russia Today as an alternative media source. I stated in my opinion piece on interestingblogger:"15 of the guests [from my analysis of one month of guests] fulfilled [the] definition [of a radical] and that’s 44% of the guests on the show! There is nothing wrong with radicals; it could just make the news channel bias toward the radicals. Although its not the majority of those the guests, it seems to influence the content of the news network (why else would they be allowed on the show?)...In conclusion, I have found Russia Today (RT) is not the mouthpiece of the Kremlin [because it is owned by the Kremlin] but has anti-American
sentiment...hosts of RT and its affiliates can, they paint America in crisis or in distress...As a concerned citizen, I recommend you do not watch RT unless you want to become anti-American yourself and want a perspective of the news that is not fair and balanced, but is unfair and discriminatory." Does that help you decide about Russia Today (RT)? I hope it does.
