Turning Signal Issue on 2005 Ford Taurus?

This is for Ford Techs: I have a 2005 Ford Taurus and the turning signal works but once you make your turn and the streering wheel spins back it doesn't click off the turning signal, you have to manually click it off. My question is how hard is it to get in there (I know two screws hold that plastic in underneath), and try and fix this or replace that assembly or is this best left to a Ford Tech? Thanks
 
you can remove the covers and pull the switch and check to see if the detente pin is broken if not you really need to know what your doing to fix the problem, because it means removing the air bag system. you can go to http://www.alldata.com and look up the information and how to trouble shoot for yourself.
