turn signal problems 93 buick?

I have to tilt my wheel all the way up for my brake lights to work or wiggle the turn signal. Should I replace the turn signal switch and will that help with the brake lights?
 
Had a similar problem with my GMC. Had to have the multi function switch replaced. Got tired of wiggling my turn signal to stop the problems I was having. Cost was about $300 and I took my truck to an auto electrical shop. Mechanic told me he replaces this part more on GM built vehicles than any other....of course!
