turn off phone for Verizon Wireless Chaperone feature?

my dad has the Chaperone feature on my phone and tracks me like no other. He mainly uses to it try and bust me when i'm a few minutes late after my curfew. He gets a text that tells him im back at the house. If I turn my phone off when I come and go from the house, will the Chaperone thing not be able to locate me leaving?
