Turn a Classic into a classic

If any FLHRCI owners out there have gone beyond the factory attempt at a classic look, please post your pics and what you did. I would like to do more to my 05 FLHRCI to give it a more nostalgic look, but I need some ideas.

I hope this is something like what you're searching for. BTW, I hope you go this direction with yours.

Good luck

Sol,

I really like what you've done to your bike...classy! I bet you get a lot of compliments.Mind my asking, what type of tire are you running on the front andwho makes your horn?

Whiskers.

Sol and Whiskers,

Those are totally awesome bikes, I love the nostalgic look...

Whiskers, that's a Metzeler ME880 tire... I'mswitching to those from Dunlops on my Electra Glide. The Metzelers are an excellent tire and give great mileage. I got 17,000 miles on a rear tire withan ME880on a metric cruiserI have.

Guys, thanks for the compliments.

Whiskers: If I remember right, the horn cover is part # 3600071 from J&P. Like Arizona spotted, the tires are ME880s

Neckball: Consideredwhite grips and seat, rejected mostly for cleanliness reasons.Still may getaround to some custom upholsteryto take the stripe up the back of the seat. Yes, those discontinued H-D P&A bags sure went a long way toward getting the look I wanted

Maybe we could ask Terry and the other mods to create a site here for owners who've taken their newer bikes the nostalgic route? I've seen some awesome Springers, Deluxes and Heritages whose owners took them in this direction and its been fun looking at all of them. I've picked up ideas for my bike from some of the other ridershere on the forum.

Ride safe.
