Looks promising - especially if it perhaps "bridges the gap" between the T5 and the LD, but with GOOD 'OL VOLATILE RAM.
Kind of a "TE/T5" hybrid with WiFi. This could be good indeed. Other than requiring an Agendus 9.05 upgrade from 8.06 to deal with the 5.4 "differences," I could make this one work - I think.
In addition to my own "selfish" partiality toward "old fashioned Palm RAM" (JS/JF) - here's a link on Tealpoint's forum explaining problems with the T5/LD "system" with regard to backups:
I'm also concerned that a spinning drive, if dropped while spinning - would cause some major damage. 4GB is great if you don't lose it all because it was too unpredictable, not really "internal memory" as in the case of the T5 and/or contained these "snafus" that make the OS "wig out" from time to time, per the link.
This new Tungsten XX might just contain cures for some T5 problems, and not present new ones given us by the LifeDrive. All in all a probably "replacement candidate" for the T3 should I lose it or it wear out. Despite daily, regular, heavy use -- I really don't need 4GB. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this might be an EXCELLENT Palm.
