Hey,

Did anyone else have problems with the audio last night? It seemed TSN HD had the announcers audio turned down. All was fine on CBC HD, and all was fine on SD channels.

I have seen this problem before with Sportsnet HD for hockey too.

I am using:

Bell 9200
sony stg900 for audio, set to auto detect.

Never had a problem before with TSN HD

I didn't have TSN on for the entire evening, but what I did watch I had no problem hearing. I also have the 9200.

Hey,

worked fine for the Detroit game tonight.

It was broadcast by VS. so maybe there is a problem with TSN HD.

I guess I will find out with the late game.

Hey,

Well tonight TSN HD is fine, but they are not broadcasting 5.1, just Stereo, and it is VS. not TSN.

I am however have the same problem with CBC HD tonight. It is the broadcaster as it cuts in and out. If I manually switch to 2 channel stereo I can hear the commentators. If I have it set to auto detect, it detects the 5.1 surround, and I get all the sound but the commentators.

Is anyone else having this problem? Does everyone just set the audio to 5.1 and just think thats what they are getting?

All other channels are working fine, so it has to be a bell or the broadcaster issue.

thanks

Wow, I'm a huge Redwings fan and on TSN HD I had golf from Agusta (sp), not the wings-preds game. What's up with that.

I didn't notice really any issue. Could have been a bit low but in comparison to what CTV is when you watch something like CSI then its not bad. Normally volume at 8 on my TV. For CTV prime time volume goes to 22 for shows. back to 8 for commercials. Wish they'd fix that.

The Masters was more important in TSN's mind that the hockey playoffs. I guess they felt that with so many games to come that the four day Masters could take precedence over game 1 of a seven game series without upsetting too many viewers. Personally I too would have preferred the hockey but I'll bet a lot of golf fans would have been very upset if the Masters had been cut short. Have to admit that the Masters golf course by the way looks fantastic in HD.
