I am thinking about reactivating my BEV account (unused for the last 5 or 6
years) soley to get the TSN alternate feed- When I fired it up this AM i got a channel guide that didn't show
channel 402 - the TSN alternate feed I believe.
Is it on the same satelite as TSN etc?
a few hours later this AM I can't get any type of quide.

Is the alternate feed automatically included with the TSN package?

I did talk to a CSR but she wasn't too clear on the concept - just
seemed to say everything I wanted would be fine - that my very old
smart card would work untill I got a new card, that I would get a new
guide showing channel 402 when she activated my account, that there
would be no activation fee, no cancellation fee (I just want the service
for 3 months) - think she was right?

TSN alternate is rarely used. It get's used when certain parts of the country are blacked out, as with CFL and some NHL games. It really isn't a channel per se.

TSN Alternate has the NASCAR race this sunday. Golf on the regular and HD channel. They replay the Race, HD on monday at noon. I feel ripped off. :(
The alt channel is used regularly.

They also put Champions League soccer games on there when they're showing curling on the main network.

Most IPGs and other guides may not show what is running on the alternate feed. Best place is TSN itself at http://www.tsn.ca/feature/?fid=11103

They can only show the event on the alternate feed when there is a programming conflict. Pre-race or pre-game shows will not be shown. The channel will open up only when the event starts.
