Just seen the excellent Tell No One again. It reminded me of another French (I think) film. But I cannot remember the title...or too many details...here's what I remember...
- wife disappeared/kidnapped
- husband hides it from family/frienRAB
- husband has a showdown with possible kidnapper - who (shockingly) kills himself (in front of husband - slashes his throat?)
- ending is ambiguous
- final scene students leaving building (a meeting had been arranged!?) camera pans out and film finishes
EDIT. I googled "french film throat cut" and found it. Some of my "remembers" were wrong...
