There was a bunch of teens that went to school and lived at home with their families but then they would travel through time or go to different dimensions. Maybe through a portal or something to do with books? My recollection is very fuzzy but my best memory is of one of the characters hanging off a cliff about to get snatched by a pterodactyl and then all of a sudden he is safe at home. The cartoon was part of the Saturday morning lineup for a bit. Anyone have a clue?
