trying to recive files through Bluetooth help!

I have a dell streak and I instaled an app so could send and recive files caled Bluetooth file transfer, but I still cant recive files an error comes up saying I dont have root permission somone please help ta
 
I'm not sure if the Dell Streak has been rooted (the security bypassed by hackers so that you can install custom ROMs and use applications like Bluetooth File Transfer that require root privileges), but if it hasn't, or if you haven't rooted it, then you won't be able to run that application.
 
Bluetooth file transfer has never been very good on Android. I'm not sure if later versions support it fully or not (e.g. Android 2.1 has a number of BT improvements).

Personally I transfer files via USB or email.
 
Depends on what type of file you are trying to receive. A good habit is to change the extension of the file to .jpg. this will usually guarantee a good transfer.
