i was reading a collection of stories by this french author. i dont remember any titles, but i was told his works were considered to be risque at the time they were written, but are rather tame by todays standards. i remember one story of a man who had to deliver the baby of a married woman he had once been in love with, and also a story of a man who was jealous of his wife's horse. hopefully i not confusing two authors here, as my memories of both stories are extremely vague.
