trying to hook up my receiver (denon AVR 591) to my monitor 42' sony and cable box?

I have a sony 42' monitor PFM--42X1 -- has no HDMI HOOK UPS
Denon AVR 591-- has HDMI
Denon DVD/CD player --has HDMI
and cable box--has HDMI

I've hooked everything up and i get sound but no picture..
do i have to buy a new TV with HDMI hook up are can i still use this monitor?
