We have an area of about 3mx2m that we can not get grass growing.Previous years I have used gypsum to try and break down the clay,but it has not worked.
This year I am going to try and lay turf instead of seed.
I have started to prepare the area and have broken the clay surface manually.I have also added a small sample bag I got of Riversafe brand Eco Wetta Magic, a small sample of Debco Saturaide and have given the area a big water 3 times(once a week for 3 weeks) of Amgrow liquid Wetter Soil and 2 times(once a week for 2 weeks) with Seasol with Water Conditioner.
I have also added 2 handfuls of Riversafe Lawn Magic and 2 of Neutrog's Seamungus as well as a little bit of potting mix I had left over and a little bit of propagating sand I had left over.
I have given it a big soaking today.
Is there anything else I can to get it ready for rolling out some turf in Spring?
