Trying to get a new bottom bracket and crank set for my track bike wonder exactly

what i need to get? The current bottom bracket is 68mm x 110. Should i just buy the same size? How do i know the new crank set will fit properly and maintain the chain line? Do i need to buy a bottom bracket made specifically for the crank set i'm going to get?
