I have a suspension part off a 1960's ENGLISH Ford which I need to duplicate. I have full engineering access but can NOT no matter who I speak to find out what the thread is. It has stumped even engineers who have been in the business for 60+ years! It is a threaded collar, there are 24 teeth per inch ( 24 TPI ) and the overall diameter of the thread is 1" 29/32nd (1.903") We can cut the thread but really DO need to know what it is! This has baffled everyone HELP!

let you in on a secret, most manufactuers will use an oddball thread size.you know the size, cut it.just ran into this problem on a case tractor tie rod end. it is metric, yet we couldnt find the right pitch etc.turns out that a 3/4 and i forget the thread pitch was an exact match, tap was $16 through a machine shop supply house, and the thread pitch was a specialty thread.hey it kept us from building a steering strut ourselves.
