I can only remember part of the story. I believe the majority of the story takes place in a house. A couple had two daughters, the oldest one is dead, but the Father and younger Daughter can still see her. The older daughter and father were also having an incestuous relationship, which continued after she died. The Grandmother also lived with the family, but was bedridden due to a stroke (I believe), and could hardly move or talk. I think the Mom may have been an alcoholic, but I'm not sure. There was something in her closet that was terrorizing her. The book had to have been published around 1994 (or before). Thank you to anyone that can help me!!
