Hi,
I'm looking for a movie that was about a family that included at least 3 sisters. They were all grown or teenagers. Anyway-this was set in the early times in the US, maybe even before the Revolution. They were definitely early pioneers, but not in a prairie like place. They lived in a wooded area in a log cabin.
All I remember is that one sister was taken by a native american guy and carried off and they never found her. I think that someone gave chase but couldn't catch her. Then another was messing around with a guy under the bushes and her older sister saw them. Later the older sister told her that she'd heard and she'd seen what they were doing and wanted to know when the wedding was. The guy and the younger sister ended up married.
In another scene, the oldest sister has pneumonia, but thinks she needs to keep working.
I don't know how it ends. I know the older sister kind of took control over the family. I think the mother had died and I'm not sure about the father.
I've Googled and searched everything I can think of and I can't find it. Any of you have any idea???
