Here's a quick background on me and my issues the past year or so...
December 2009- At risk of Overweight at 139 lbs, 5'4, 13 years of age
-January 2010- began South Beach Diet, Lost 31 lbs total, I know weight 107-110 lbs, 5'4 1/2, 14 years of age.
-August 2010- Problems with excess gas arose. had a period
-October- occasional constipation flared up. No Period since august
- December- period (very short)
- January 2011- Noticed i had been losing weight, unintentionally. Began tracking my food intake, noticing it was very low.
-Visited doctor, suggested changes in diet, more fiber, more water, little more fat, try cutting out dairy/grains/common gas/constipation causing foods. No results. Began taking ex lax- caused extreme diarrhea and uncontrollable bowel movements. Switched to Miralax by suggestion of doctor, found no relief. This week started ex lax (Desperate for immediate relief) But it didnt work. Currently i have been using suppositories. I Experience frequent, excruciating gas pains, Godawful gas, i pretty much cannot pass a stool without some sort of laxative.
-My dad and i addressed diet, and i got a letter from the doctor that said i was anemic, but it doesnt effect my digestive system.
-Tomorrow, I am starting a plan to stop worrying about what i eat neccessarily and eat to reach calorie goals, whether i gain weight or not, so i have the energy to make my digestion work normal again.
This is very hard as all my life ive struggled with low confidence, an awkward short torso and a belly pooch, and the time i was happy was for about a month after i got to a good body shape- and then i got constipated and my stomach began to swell. After attacking my emotional issues head on with my dad, we've decided i'm on the verge of an eating disorder and i need to stop eating so little so i can clear the constipation and worry about healthy food after that.
What foods should i eat?
What foods should i not eat?
Will eating over my Basal Metabolic Rate on a day that i'm not active cause me to gain weight?
Does not eating enough really cause constipation- Also, could my stomach pooch be caused by my body trying to hold on to fat?
I'm through with being depressed about my swollen stomach and pain, and i'm ready to try and solve it, even if i have to gain a little weight and then take it off later. I just hope this works
Advice is welcomed, in fact, I need it. I'm scared. I've been trapped in a skinnyfat body and now i'm scared to death to not count every carb and calorie. I admit i have a problem, and i just want to be healthy, happy, normal, without being chubby again. That's one thing i will NOT do. I will not be like everyone else in my family. I want to stay healthy and be happy.
