I have an iPod Touch 2G (it says 3G in the 'About' section of my iPod, though... but iTunes and other applications on Mac OS X recognize it as 2G only) running iOS 4.2.1. I know redsn0w 0.9 won't recognize my iPod, so I want to downgrade it to iOS 4.1/4.0 and put greenpois0n on it. I'm trying to downgrade it via TinyUmbrella. So far I've been able to back up 4.2.1. but I can't seem to save the SHSH blob for 4.0 or 4.1 from my iPod for some reason.
The progress bar is stuck at a certain point and it won't move beyond it. I've waited for 30 minutes now. D: Is this normal? Is it even possible to extract this firmware from my iPod? Honestly, I'm new to all this and I've never saved an SHSH blob before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
