Trying to decide...

Hey guys, I'm going to be moving to Atlanta for school, and I'm gonna need a new phone. The features I want are mainly a good camera- 3.2 MP+ (so i don't have to buy one here), good reception (GSM), good battery life, a good interface, and maybe WiFi (although I don't think my budget can support WiFi).
My needs in terms of service are decent weekday minutes, lots of weekends and evening minutes, quite a bit of text messages, and good long distance rates to Canada.

My questions are:

What phones should I shoot for? (budget is AROUND $300-$400)
Where should I buy my phone from? (what stores, should I get it unlocked, etc)
and
Which company should I get my contract from?

Thanks!

Pick the carrier first, before you decide on a phone. You need to make sure you will have a decent signal/connection first of all.

For calls to Canada, you might want to consider SKYPE for PC to PC calls. Works great on a PC, not so good via a cell phone.
