I'm having a real hard time finding info on true HEPA. Everything seems to be a scam. Apparently anyone can label their vacuums and air cleaners as hepa without passing any tests. So basically its all a bunch of fraud.

Would someone please recommend me some models here. We live out in the country there is a lot of pollen, pet dander, and actually one of the biggest reasons asbestos clean-up. So it's pretty important we find a hepa vacuum that is TRUE.

I realize the filters will filter properly in the right vacuum. But cheap vacuum cleaners and air cleaners will have gaps where unfiltered air gets through.

I don't care what the price is!!!

I have a Kenmore Progressive Upright vacuum, it has HEPA filters and HEPA bags, it does a good job at keeping in dust (it's also not cheap, but tenRAB to be on sale often). I also have room air filters to remove pet hair and dust in our living area and bedroom which help. I can't wait to get rid of our carpet and get hardwooRAB this Fall!! It will be so much easier to get up the dust and dander.

I have two Miele vacuums; one for upstairs and one for down. They are expensive, but are made for people with allergies. I have the Polaris 300 type for upstairs, but think all of them are good.

I also had a company come and put a central filtering system in my home, which has helped a GREAT deal. When the filters are cleaned, they are filthy. It is shocking to see the junk we breathe.

I have HORRIBLE allergies!!!!!

I think i'm going with the IQ air pro, for the air purifier. After extensive research. It's the only air filter I know thats completely sealed that filters past HEPA standarRAB, and is used in clean rooms! Hefty price tag though....
