Truck Cap Leaking .. 1999 Ford Ranger with matching Cap.?

When raining ... Fiberglass truck cap leaking toward both front cab corners, Small dribble but accumulates after a while. Can I tighten the Cap mounting bolts with out cracking or causing damage ... or ... Should I take in into a repair shop and have the weather seal re-fitted. Also some leaks by side windows ... can these be silicon-ed/caulked to water tight? Don't want it to look like a hack job ... any thoughts or advise. Thanks ... Charles
