Model: HLR5667W Hello, I've had this t.v. for about 3 years (bought it used and never had any problem, I've never even had to replace the lamp, not once!) with it until a few months ago when it started turning itself off. When powered on it will do the normal chime and a few seconds later the picture will come on for almost exactly 50 seconds before the screen goes black and it turns itself off and then the 3 lights blink as if indicating a bad lamp. It would do this everytime. (50 seconds) I've tried unplugging for 5 minutes up to a few days to see if it would reset itself but I keep getting the same results. I am hesitant to buy a lamp because I was under the impression that a lamp either works or doesn't work. I have inspected the lamp and the cover switch in the back and that all seems to fine. I did notice prior to this problem that the picture on the t.v. was getting darker and a bit hard to see in the daytime. I checked and used compressed air to dust the vents and other than that I am stumped to what the problem could be. Times are tough and I dont have several hundred bucks to have a tech come out to look at it so I would like to try and repair it myself since it has been good to me for so many years. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
