I've been trying to learn how to slap on my bass, and when i slap the thumb, it sounds ok for a while, but if i try to speed up, I'll end up hitting extra strings, and the slapped note holds out instead of stopping like it is supposed to. What am I doing wrong, and if any, what are some exercises i can do to help myself not hit wrong notes, and to end the slaps before the pops?
