Trouble with memory card reader/writer, help pleaseee?

i purchased a card reader/writer and it was supposed to convert pictures from my memory card on my camera, onto my desktop...

well, after the first upload, my camera kept saying protected by software whenever i tried to take a picture or use it...


and it won't let me use the card reader..



its compatible with my mac but i'm not sure whats wrong..


help me please,
