trouble starting my yamaha 2005 when hot ie once i have filled up?

hi guys please help i have a yamaha R1 2005 and sometimes having problems starting it when its hot. it is fine when cold and it doesn't do it all the time. when it does do it when i press the button it turns the engine slightly then stops turning then stops and starts turning until the bike starts if that makes any sense? took it to yamaha while under warranty and i think they just started it waited till it was hotish turned it off and started it again then said there was nothing wrong with it!! i still have the same problem but now out of warranty long time ago now please help guys
