Trouble saving photos to my memory card on my HTC Tilt 2?

I recently bought this phone for $199 with a $199 rebate so i figured why not its free. Not to bad of a phone but for some reason when i select save to memory card the photos i take never get saved and seem to just disappear. Anyone have a clue as to how i can correct this issue, if not for that this phone would be good
