Trouble getting my PC to read a 4 GB card

I have currently a 2GB memory card for my enV that I have filled with Mp3's. I purchased a 4gb card from Verizon and it is not reading in my SD card slot. However my 2gb card reads instantly. i have formatted the card in the phone thru settings and Tools--->Memory--->Memory Card --->Option--->Format and still nothing reads. Any idea on what I may be doing wrong?

The card usually reads on my "I" Drive but now when I try to open the 4gb it just freezes up and goes to program not responding....do I just have a bad card?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

i think i know your problem. it seems to me that you phone does not support micro schc cards, but does support micro sd cards.

that basicly means that a card that says micro sd on it will work (2gb and below) and cards that are micro sdhc (4gb and up) will not.
to verify this, look at the place where you would insert the memory card. if it doesn't say micro sdhc, then this is true

In caser anyone else runs into this problem, I purchased at my Verizon store what is called MobileMate Micro Memory Crad Reader, and this reads my 4gb card with no problem when I plug it into my USB port on my comp. Whereas my Card adapter that came with my memory card would not.

To add to the above post by sk8erboi9305, the larger capacity cards are SDHC.
They will function in the phone ok, memory available might not reflect.
They require a SDHC card reader for the PC. Most PC's are not equiped as such.
You can get one off ebay for less than $10 bucks.
