female betta to be more precise

just wondering if these fish is hardy enough to handle an live comfortably in colder water climates (un heated tank that even in summer wont reach temps thats a heated tank would)

Betta need water heated to 80F. to do best. They also need a filter and at least 5 gallons of water. People keep betta in lesser conditions, but they just do not live very long that way. In a tank without a heater, the water temp can very greatly. For most fish, it should not very any more than 2F. in a 24hr period.=
