Tropic Thunder Trouble

I didn't have a clue what you were on about for a minute. But I just did a google and found Tropic Thunder and it's troubles.
Yep, they're getting they're pants in a twist over the word 'retard'.

Anyone complaining over the use of "retard" or Robert Downey Jr. in blackface is a complete moron. Fact.

The whole point of the film is the OTT nature of Hollywood. Ben Stiller's character plays a mentally disabled man in a movie called "Simple Jack" in order to gain credibility, while Robert Downey Jr.'s character is so self-obsessed that he honestly believes he is so talented that he can play a black man in a film and nobody will have a problem with it.

It's parody, pointing out how stupid and ridiculous the characters are. The people protesting don't understand comedy or what the film is actually trying to say.

It's a rather good movie, I was not offended by it. Retard was used 10+ times in one conversation, think I caught 10+ times.

I can understand if its a spiteful attempt at hurting the special neeRAB lot..
But its a joke with them as The Ringer was,
Most disabled do have a GSOH as they need it to get by....;)

It's making fun of the actors who play the disabled roles in the film world and what it has to do with winning awarRAB and so on than been horrible to actual disabled people in real life.
