L Liana New member Jan 19, 2010 #1 I'm rejoining high school band after a couple years of playing middle school band. My trombone, however, has rusted inside the bell and probably farther within too. I start in about a week. How can I eliminate the rust/refurbish the inside?

V Veg Plate New member Jan 19, 2010 #2 2 options: 1) Take it to a shop and let them re-laquer the horn -or- 2) Take some sandpaper and gently rub away the corroded areas and then find some kind of rust remover and rub away some more. Personally I wouldnt worry about it unless it has a hole from the rust.
