I have had a flare up the last 4 or 5 months-
3 lurabar and the first sacral disc, are herniated W/ stenosis. The sacral disc L5-S1, is impinging on my nerve root, and causing me sciatica now.
I have been resting, stretching etc, to no avail in pain reduction.
A friend told me a Trocnater belt helped her-
Anyone try this, I just received it in todays mail. It was $30.00 a bargain if it helps!

I have a belt I got at PT - supposed to be for SI joint - helps "bind" my hips/lower abdomend when I have pain. It did help some, I don't need it as much anymore.

The Trochanter belt is used to support the ligaments surrounding the SI joints. I would be surprised if it helped any with your sciatic pain...but it's worth a try! When there is a nerve root compression that is causing sciatic pain, it is difficult to find anything that brings permanent relief short of surgery. :(
