ok - this cwas radio 1 a while back - and eveything i think of it - it always gets me thinking.

can anyone name an actor who has been in 3 trilogies. I cant think of anyone!!!

Does he have to have been in every part of the trilogy?

If not, then Danny Glover was in Saw, Lethal Weapon and Manderlay - all parts of trilogies (although Lethal Weapon went to 4). And Predator if you count Alien v Predator as part of a trilogy.

Beverly Hills cop 1,2&3
Shrek 1,2,3 (3 comes out next year)
However he only made 2 of the following movies
Nutty professor 1 & 2
Dr Doolittle 1 & 2
48hrs & another 48 hrs

Christopher Lee is also another 1 that comes close

Lord Of The Rings,The 2 Towers & Return of The King

The Three Musketeers(1973),The Four Musketeers(1974) & The Return of the Musketeers( 1989)

In each of these movies he played the same character called Rochefort.

but the challenge was to name an actor who had been in all 3 films - 9 movies. im stumped.

if harrison ford had played the same character in the sum of all fears as jack ryan, as well as Clear & present danger and The Patriot - could have counted him (even though there has been 4 Jack Ryan films).

silly game, I know - but ever since i heard this thing on Radio 1 - its got me thinking since.
