point A is 35m away from a building and 2m above ground. angle of elevation from A to top of building is 60 degrees.what is the height of the building?
my solution: (correct my errors pls)
tan 60 = h-2 / 2m
tan 60 *2m = h-2
(tan 60*2m)+2 = h
5.46 = h
based on my reference,i was supposed to use cot instead of tan. but i cant figure out how to solve cot without the measurement of sides, and i dont have cot on my calculator. if you are not generous enough to show the solution of this problem, or if solving this using tan is not possible, pls teach me how to solve for cot instead. thanks
