Hello, here is the question I would like to ask. It regards trignometry involving identities:
csc (x) - cot (x) forms an identity with which of the following:
[A] cot (x/ 2)
tan (x/2)
[C] tan (x)
[D] cot (x)
I'm not sure but I think we have to simplify this trignometric expression. That's how I did other similar quesions. But I can't seem to simplify this to any of the above choices.
AND ALSO THIS ONE:
Solve:
tan^2(X) = -3/2 (sec (x)) on the interval 0<= x < 2 pi
NOTICE THAT THE TANGENT IS SQUARED, NOT THE X.
[A] 5 pi / 6 and 7 pi / 6
pi / 3 and 5 pi / 3
[C] 3 pi / 4 and 5 pi / 4
[D] none of these
THE ANSWER THAT I GOT WAS D, BUT I'M SURE.
I WOULD RATHER PREFER THAT YOU ANSWER THE FIRST QUESTION MORE CLEARLY AND WITH PROPER STEPS AND REASONING.
THE BEST ANSWERER WILL BE REWARDED WITH 10 POINTS, I AM NOT JOKING.
