tried having sex.......... HELP?

Me and my boyfriend tried having sex for the first time last night (im a virgin he is not), I was on the bottom. he had a hard time even getting it in and the pain was unbarable for me.. he had on a lubricated condom but still was havin trouble getting it in. When he did I couldnt take the pain and I made him stop. We tried about an hour later, and still the same thing... Anyone have any idea for it to be a little less painful for me the first time? posisitions or anything? By the way im 18 if that helps.
