Tricky question Re: TomTom + Bluetooth car kit

I've just had a bluetooth car kit installed in my car, which is very cool and allows me to use my phone hands free. The car kit sends any sound the phone makes through the car's audio system, and even mutes the radio/CD automatically.

I have noticed that there is a slight delay each time the phone starts sending audio to the car, so the first 1-2 seconds of audio is lost. This is fine for phone calls - I just miss a bit of ring-tone before I answer the call. However, this makes navigation using TomTom Navigator 6 quite difficult, as the verbal instuctions are short enough that half (or even all) the instruction is lost before the car catches up with the sound.

This is the equipment involved:
Car: VW Golf V with standard Blaupunkt RCD 300 audio system
Bluetooth Kit: OEM VW / Parrot system
Phone: Nokia N73 with latest firmware
Software: TomTom Navigator 6

Any ideas how I could fix or get around this problem? Is there any way to force TomTom to use the phone's internal speaker instead of bluetooth?

This is strange, I've been using the same set up for a year now and there is no delay. I have Parrot receiver + E61. I did see Parrot freaking out on me once in while where it is unable to connect to the phone, in which case TT is using built in speaker phone. So the issue is truly in Parrot, I believe. Check the firmware on the unit. If this doesn't help the only other option is disconnect BT Parrot when using TT
