I am really keen on getting started with a road bike... I just did my first 10k run a week ago and have now decided to do a small triathlon in August. I don't have much cash or time so I am willing to ride just about anything. I found a Trek 1000 used at my local bike shop, he wants $550, I live in Vancouver. Is this an ok price for the bike seems in nice condition. If not does anyone have any suggestions for cheap bike (I know it's not gonna get me the best, but at least I'm riding). Any suggestions on where to look if the Trek is a bad deal?
