First, I will say I have been unable to meet with a psychatrist for the last 3 wks. I have realized that I have been accidentally tripling my 50 mg dose of trazadone for the last few wks. My insurance is not in effect until Jan 1.

My equilibrium has been off, I have been suffering HORRIBLE headaches.

About three days ago I tried to go back to my reg dose, but I have not slept more than an hour at a time. I am so miserable.

I am so off my husband is convinced I am addicted to a new pill or I am drinking heavily. A co worker has even asked if I may have the "winter blues."

Does anyone know a natural way to detox from this crap, or at least how long it will take to feel better? I have not been able to locate anything that identifies any symptoms other than insomnia from the w/s's. What can I do for relief w/o any w/d symptoms

Help!

MrsJones,

Welcome! I am sorry but I don't have any information for you... I have never been prescribed trazadone before.. What I wanted to tell you though is that even though you don't have health insurance until the 1st.. maybe you could call your Dr.'s office and ask to speak to a Dr. or nurse and explain to them your situation.. I know my clinic does not charge anything for that service.

Just wanted to suggest that.. I hope you are feeling better!

Mrs. Jones,

The safest way to do this is you're going to need to wean down to your original dose, do double your dose for a week, then double every other day, normal in between, then your normal every day...you may have slight w/d symptoms, feeling kinda fluish...body aches, a bit restless...but they shouldn't be bad. The important thing is you should really contact your psych and let him know what is going on.

With triple the Trazodne I'm not surprised your having so much trouble.
