Transmission troubles on Honda Dirt bike?

I bought a 1993 Honda XR 200R Dirt bike and I am having some transmission trouble. Everything works fine but most of the time I can't find neutral or first gear. Sometimes it will click right in but about 90% of the time I can't find it. Any idea what it could be??
