I drive a 94 Honda Civic with a manual transmission. A few months ago I noticed some sound coming from the car and took it in to be looked at. The repair guy told me it was coming from the transmission.
How long to you think my car has left?
The transmission is not slipping and you mostly hear the sound when in the lower gears. I have not been driving much lately but when I do its long distance (300 miles). A few times a week I drive short distances like 10 miles. The cars got around 160,000 miles.
Also how much do you think it would be to fix the problem?
