Irradiation of sperm can produce a variety of chromosomal rearrangements. For example, translocations have been observed between the Y-chromosome and autosomes, as well as between the X-chromosome and autosomes.

Explain why translocations between the X and Y chromosomes are not usually observed.

Thanks for any help!
